Cabuyao City gov't to hold 2nd young entrepreneurs summit

CITY OF CABUYAO, Laguna, Nov. 22 (PIA) - The City Government of Cabuyao is calling on students, youth leaders, and young entrepreneurs around Laguna to take part in the second run of the Cabuyao Young Entrepreneurs Summit happening on November 25 at the Malayan Colleges Laguna.

The summit which was described by the city government as the city's biggest entrepreneurship event seeks to highlight how digital collaboration and social innovation enable youth to jump-start their business ventures.

With the theme, "Go Digital, Go Global: Connecting Young Entrepreneurs Through Collaboration and Social Innovation," the summit is expected to draw inspiration from real-life stories and milestones of top-notch speakers and game-changers of todays' business industry.

Powerhouse speakers

Speakers industry players like Joerge Noel Y. Wieneke III, founder of Potato Corner and Tokyo Tempura, and Rafael Canare who is a board member of the Association of Filipino Franchisers Inc.

Jose Carlo Martinez, assistant general manager for franchise and marketing of Eastern Petroleum Group of Companies as well as Mark Joseph Panganiban, general manager of e-commerce payment channel DragonPay will also grace the event to give strategies on how collaboration would enable business startups to grow.

Other speakers who will speak at the event include Kevin San Miguel Cuevas, founder of Tagani.PH, Celestin A. Porto, director for marketing, small and medium business of Globe Telecom, Inc., and Raymund Vincent F. Aaron, president of Villa Socorro Farm.

Cabuyao's local entrepreneurs such as Joann Bella who introduced Delfinado Food Products, Arnel Gonzales of Casile-Guinting Upland Marketing Cooperative, and Buena Bariring of Bwena's Water Hyacinth and Handricafts will also join the event to give inspirational talk to the city's young entrepreneurs.

Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon Lopez and Senator Aquilino Pimentel III were also invited to speak at the summit.

Aside from the inspirational talks, Cabuyao's young entrepreneurs would also get the chance to power up their business ventures and aspirations as a business mentoring will also be held as a sidelight of the summit.

Said event is organized by the Cabuyao City Negosyo Center in partnership with the City Cooperative and Livelihood Development Office, Malayan Colleges Laguna, Young Entrepreneurs Society of Cabuyao, and the Juan Kabuyao Movement. (FSC/PIA4A)
