US Consul workers killed in Juarez Mexico

Drug violence in Western Mexico has led to the deaths of three people who worked within the walls of the US consulate in Ciudad Juarez.
Officials have named a US consulate employee and her husband as victims in a drive-by shooting. They were both US citizens who worked at the Consulate.
Their baby was uninjured when their vehicle was sprayed with bullets.
In a separate shooting, gunmen killed the husband of a Mexican citizen employed by the consulate.
Officials have claimed security concerns are now forcing diplomats working at US consulates in northern Mexico to send their family members out of the area.
Ciudad Juarez, a town near El Paso, Texas, is known to contain many members of Mexico’s drug cartels.
It is also known to be extremely violent as it is the hub for trafficking routes into the United States for Mexico’s most infamous drug cartels. Email this story to a friend
